About the Course
The program is designed for beginning actors with little to no experience. It is full-time Monday to Friday for one month, totaling 100 hours of training, and is only available twice each year. In 2018, the course will take place in March and July.Acting is a craft you need to immerse yourself in, which is why we push for full-time. Students will learn from working actors, directors and producers who can provide “reel world” experience.
What You Learn
The program offers hands-on training which covers the foundations of film acting in these four modules: Introduction to Screen Acting, Creating a Film Scene, Script Analysis and Character Development, and Intro to Voice and Dialects for Film and Television. Students graduate with one professionally edited film scene for their demo reel. Many of our students choose to transfer the credits earned from the certificate program to have advanced standing in our full time “Essentials for Acting” diploma program to further their training.
