4 MONTH FILM ACTING DIPLOMA PROGRAM

The Film Acting Diploma is an intensive 4-Month, 360 hour hands-on camera training program for aspiring actors.

This program is designed to teach students the essentials of screen acting in a relatively short period of time – a perfect opportunity for students to discover if film acting is a career they would like to pursue.

Our intensive program runs for 16 weeks, with modules covering a variety such as; Method Acting, Script Interpretation, Voice and Speech, Auditioning Techniques, The Business of Acting, and amongst many more.

In addition to receiving quality instruction on a variety of essential acting skills and camera techniques students will graduate from the program with three professionally edited film scenes for their demo reel. The Toronto Academy of Acting for Film & Television is the only acting academy that provides edited scenes for students as well as introduction to talent agents, talent managers and casting directors both in Toronto, and Los Angeles,

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Students do not require an audition or previous experience to be admitted to the Four Month Film Acting Diploma Program. However, Toronto Academy of Acting for Film & Television looks for applicants who possess the drive and commitment necessary to keep up in the fast-paced training environment of this program.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Students need to be at least 18 years of age and have completed their high school education to apply.

We are looking for applicants who possess the drive and commitment necessary to keep up with our fast-paced training environment and the competitive nature of the film and television industry.

Our Full Time One Month Film Acting Certificate Program on camera is made up of 4 courses which are:

  • INTRODUCTION TO SCREEN ACTING
  • INTRO TO VOICE AND DIALECTS FOR FILM AND TELEVISION
  • SCRIPT ANALYSIS & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

GREG HOVANESSIAN
Hovanessian is a Canadian actor who attended the academy. He recently won the Gold Remi Award for “Best Actor” at the 51st WorldFest International Film Festival for the movie “eHero”.

LUKE BILYK
With numerous roles on television and a feature career on the horizon, Luke Bilyk is a young actor whose star is on the ascent. He played the role of “Drew Torres” on the iconic television series “Degrassi: The Next Generation,”

SAMANTHA JO
Samantha is a Canadian actress & stuntwoman who trained at the Academy. She is known for her work in Wonder Woman & Justice League where she played the role of Euboea.

ANA GOLJA
Ana is a Canadian actress & singer who trained at the Academy. She is best known for her role in the TV Series: Degrassi: The Next Generation. She recently teamed up with renowned actor John Travolta for the movie “Moose”.
