This course gives teen actors the confidence and skills to walk into any audition prepared. Students will explore Shurtleff’s 12 guideposts, build a personal audition toolkit, practice cold reads, and learn industry etiquette—all with insight from guest actors and surprise end-of-course activities.

Objectives
This class will explore practical audition experience and career planning including practicing audition skills creating your own tool box of techniques learned from drop in professional actors and other guests, handouts and integrating the 12 guideposts of Michael Shurtleff based on his best-selling book AUDITION: Everything an Actor Needs to Know to Get the Part. We will also cover cold readings, warm-ups, and basic audition etiquette and protocol. At the end of the course there is always a surprise.
Materials Provided
Script material will be provided for film presentation to students
On Completion Of Course (An Assessment)
Students will be assessed at the end of the program.
KEYPOINT
Class sessions will be video taped of each student for learning process.
