Diploma Program - APPLICATION

Each applicant who is applying for admission to the Academy is required to furnish the information necessary for the Academy’s records.

1. Two letters of References (not family members why they are recommending you to this program.
2. Proof of country citizenship
3. Graduation from a secondary school or post secondary school with a copy of Diploma or transcript or a General Education Development (GED) Certificate from the United States or a translated Diploma to English to be submitted, or transcript, or Certificate from another country if English is not the applicant’s first language, to be assessed at an Ontario secondary school level by a recognized assessment service .
4. International applicants should arrange to have their transcripts or Diploma officially translated (if not in English).  The School will accept official notarized copies  of some transcripts depending on the country of origin.
5. To meet English language requirements for international students:
   
   • All students are required to speak and write  English at an acceptable level.  In order to succeed in the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film & Television Inc. programs all students need to understand technical terms as well as converse enough to participate in the program as well as read & write.  Achieving the scores indicated below in any of these tests can satisfy conversational skill requirements.

   • TOEFL  score minimum overall score of 6.0 

   • I.E.L.T.S. score minimum overall score of 6.0

6. A video of the applicant discussing why applicant wants to train as a professional film actor and why they would be a good candidate for the Academy, plus a two minute monologue.
